Your Role

As a core member of our technical team, you will handle a true variety of workshop responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repair: Carry out routine vehicle maintenance, safety inspections, and high-level mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Use modern diagnostic equipment to test, identify, and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults systematically.
  • Component Replacement: Inspect automotive components for wear and tear, and efficiently repair or replace parts to strict trade specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Check vehicle subsystems and road-test vehicles after work is completed to guarantee "right first time" safety and quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Maintain excellent housekeeping, liaise with customers where necessary, and support other technicians in the workshop to maintain top efficiency.

What You Need

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 / Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent time-served workshop experience.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a confident Vehicle Technician or Mechanic. Experience with VAG brands (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat) or BMW is an advantage but not essential.
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential (with no more than 6 points).
  • Advantage: A VOSA/DVSA approved MOT testing licence is beneficial but not required.
  • Traits: Superb technical knowledge, a professional attitude, and the ability to work comfortably to efficiency and quality targets.
