Your Role
- Maintenance & Repair: Carry out routine premium servicing, safety vehicle health checks, and high-level mechanical repairs.
- Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Use modern, specialized VAG diagnostic equipment to test, identify, and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults systematically.
- Component Replacement: Inspect automotive components for wear and tear, and efficiently repair or replace parts (clutches, timing chains, suspension) to strict trade specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Check vehicle subsystems and road-test vehicles after work is completed to guarantee "right first time" safety and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Maintain excellent workshop housekeeping and support other technicians to maintain great team efficiency.
What You Need
- Qualifications: Fully qualified Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic (NVQ Level 2, Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent time-served workshop experience).
- Experience: Proven track record as a confident technician, with hands‑on technical familiarity across Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, or Skoda vehicles being highly desired.
- Equipment: You must have your own tools to carry out daily repair and servicing tasks.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential (with no more than 6 points). An active MOT Tester licence is always beneficial but not required.
