Your Role
As a dedicated Vehicle Service Technician / Auto Mechanic within our busy Faringdon workshop, you will:
- Execute fast-fit services including complete tyre replacement, wheel alignment, balancing, and puncture repairs with high efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair steering and suspension systems, safely replacing worn shock absorbers, coil springs, and suspension arms.
- Perform comprehensive braking system maintenance, inspecting, servicing, and fitting brake pads, discs, calipers, and fluid lines.
- Fit exhaust systems and complete exhaust repairs across a diverse range of car makes and models.
- Carry out routine car servicing, scheduled preventative maintenance, and precise digital vehicle health checks (VHC).
What You Need
- Qualifications: Fully qualified Auto Mechanic or Service Technician (NVQ Level 2, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent time-served garage experience).
- Experience: Strong hands-on background in fast-fit operations, routine vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, and general auto maintenance.
- Key Strengths: Excellent technical knowledge, sharp attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a reliable team-player attitude.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required for road testing customer vehicles.
- Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily service and mechanical repair duties.
