Your Role
As a vital Service Technician / Car Mechanic in our busy Faringdon workshop, you will:
- Perform high-quality, efficient fast-fit operations including full tyre replacement, wheel balancing, and puncture repairs.
- Carry out comprehensive steering and suspension repairs, replacing shocks, springs, and suspension arms safely.
- Conduct complete braking system maintenance, including the inspection, replacement, and servicing of pads, discs, and calipers.
- Remove, repair, and fit full or partial exhaust systems across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Complete routine vehicle servicing, scheduled preventative maintenance, and clear digital vehicle health checks.
What You Need
- Qualifications: Fully qualified Service Technician or Car Mechanic (NVQ Level 2, Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent time-served experience).
- Experience: Strong hands-on background focusing on fast-fit operations, routine vehicle servicing, and general mechanical maintenance.
- Key Strengths: High attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, a positive work ethic, and a great team-player attitude.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required for this position.
- Equipment: You must have your own tools to manage daily service and maintenance tasks effectively.
