Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our busy Faringdon workshop, you will:
- Complete routine vehicle servicing, scheduled preventative maintenance, and comprehensive safety checks across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Carry out a wide array of mechanical repairs, component replacements, and braking, steering, or suspension maintenance.
- Utilize modern diagnostic tools and workshop technology to systematically troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintain strict internal quality procedures, fill out job records accurately, and contribute to a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
What You Need
- Qualifications: Fully qualified Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic (NVQ Level 2, Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent time-served experience).
- Experience: Strong hands‑on background in vehicle servicing, fault‑finding diagnostics, and general mechanical repair work.
- Key Strengths: High attention to detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, a positive work ethic, and a great team‑player attitude.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required for this position.
- Equipment: You must have your own tools to manage daily repair and maintenance tasks effectively.
