About Us

Established for over 50 years, we are a highly respected, family-operated independent garage group with three busy sites across Kent. Unlike rigid corporate workshops or high-pressure quick-fit chains where you are just a number, we treat our team like family—which is why our staff stay with us for years. We handle an exceptional, interesting mix of daily work on all makes and models, ranging from routine servicing to advanced diagnostics, electrical fault-finding, and heavy mechanical repairs. We pride ourselves on a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where senior technicians are always on hand to help you learn and develop your skills.

What is in it for you

  • Salary: A highly competitive, secure starting basic salary of £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (negotiable based on your current experience and skill level).
  • Hours: Fantastic, structured work-life balance working Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30. No Weekends: Reclaim your downtime! Keep your weekends entirely to yourself—absolutely no Saturday or Sunday shifts required.
  • Fully Funded MOT Training: Ready to take your career to the next level? Once you are settled, we are happy to fully fund and support you through your official DVSA MOT Tester Training, a major qualification that will boost your long-term earning potential.
  • Massive Variety & Learning: Escape the monotony of fast-fit environments. You will assist with and learn how to manage a massive variety of real mechanical repairs, ensuring you grow into a fully rounded specialist.
  • Long-Term Stability: Benefit from joining a booming 3-site independent group with a massive loyal customer base, exceptional job security, and a management team that genuinely wants to see you succeed.

What you will be doing

  • Carrying out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance, fluid changes, and vehicle health checks on a wide range of makes and models.
  • Developing your skills in utilizing modern diagnostic equipment to help fault-find electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Undertaking mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering components, and gradually moving on to clutches and cambelts under supervision.
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely, and to a high independent standard.
  • Working collaboratively within a friendly, supportive small team to keep the workshop running efficiently.

What we look for

  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience working within a professional workshop environment (independent, fast‑fit, or main dealer).
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is highly desirable, but your practical drive and willingness to learn are what matter most.
  • An honest, reliable work ethic with a desire to take pride in your craftsmanship.
  • A friendly attitude and the ability to work well within a close-knit independent team.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
