A long-established independent German car specialist in Croydon is expanding and seeking a dedicated MOT Tester to take ownership of the MOT function in a high-performing workshop known for precision engineering, dealer-level diagnostics, and excellent customer care.
If you’re confident working with Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volkswagen (VAG) and other major brands — including hybrid and EV — this role offers stability, responsibility, and exposure to advanced technology in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Receive
- £35,000–£40,000 salary (DOE)
- Bonus scheme + overtime
- Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays (no full weekends)
- 20 days holiday + pension

Your Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 4 MOTs to DVSA standards
- Identify and record defects accurately
- Ensure MOT compliance and workshop procedures are followed
- Assist with basic servicing/repairs when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, compliant MOT area
- Keep up to date with DVSA rules and new technologies
What We’re Looking For
- DVSA-certified MOT Tester (valid licence required)
- NVQ Level 2/3 Technician qualification preferred
- Experience with German/VAG marques beneficial
- Reliable, professional, and detail-focused
- EV/hybrid knowledge a bonus (training provided)
- Full UK driving licence
