Core Responsibilities
- Execute deep-level diagnostic fault isolation across complex ECU, CAN-bus, and emissions systems
- Perform major mechanical repairs, including timing chain/belt overhauls, gearbox builds, clutch replacements, and head gaskets
- Conduct scheduled servicing, health checks (VHC), and pre-MOT safety evaluations across diverse vehicle marques
- Write clear technical findings on electronic job cards and brief front-of-house staff on required repair paths
- Maintain clean work bays and strictly follow workshop health and safety protocols
Candidate Profile
- Technical Mastery: Experienced mechanic with advanced diagnostic problem-solving capabilities and strong mechanical skills
- Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent)
- MOT Status: Holding an active MOT Tester licence commands higher starting pay, but is not essential to apply
- Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
