A busy, long-established repair and diagnostic center in Coventry is seeking a practical Vehicle Technician to join their experienced workshop team. Known locally for honest service and taking on varied mechanical challenges, this garage offers a supportive environment where your hands-on expertise is genuinely appreciated.

- Salary Range: Β£35,000 - Β£45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team performance incentive
- Working Schedule: Monday to Friday schedule (plus Saturdays on a fair rota basis)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Execute heavy mechanical jobs, including engine repairs, gearbox replacements, timing chains/belts, and clutch kits
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across all makes and models using multi-brand diagnostic scanners
- Conduct routine servicing, safety inspections, brake/suspension overhauls, and pre-MOT health checks
- Provide accurate repair updates on job cards and coordinate with service reception staff
- Keep working bays tidy and adhere to everyday workshop safety standards
What We Need From You
- Experience: Time-served mechanic with strong confidence in deep mechanical repairs and diagnostic fault isolation
- Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served garage background)
- Mindset: A practical problem-solver committed to neat, reliable workmanship
- Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
