We are hiring a Car & Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy, expanding team in Leicestershire. If you hold your Level 2 or 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) and are ready for a dynamic, well-equipped workshop—complete with an on-site gym and standard Monday-to-Friday hours, we want to invest in your skills and help you thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Servicing & General Maintenance: Performing routine servicing, fleet inspections, health checks, and general mechanical repairs on all makes and models.
  • Major Mechanical Overhauls: Executing hands-on replacement of cambelts/timing chains, clutches, brakes, and suspension components.
  • Diagnostics & Fault Finding: Utilizing technical diagnostic software to accurately troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • MOT Prep & Standards: Ensuring all repairs and inspections meet strict MOT safety and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Team Communication & Mentorship: Sharing technical expertise, writing accurate job descriptions, and helping guide apprentice technicians where needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served experience).
  • Technical Expertise: Confident with cambelts, clutches, diagnostic tools, and general car/LCV maintenance.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to liaise with colleagues and explain technical repairs.
  • MOT License: MOT Tester status (Classes 1, 2, 4, 5, or 7) is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (Class C or C+E is a bonus).
