Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Clevedon workshop, you will:

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance, safety inspections, and mechanical repairs to high technical standards.
  • Inspect and assess core systems, including brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, and timing assemblies.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately using modern diagnostic software and equipment.
  • Maintain precise digital job records while adhering strictly to workshop health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate productively with fellow mechanics to keep the workshop flowing efficiently.

What You Need

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
  • Proven hands-on experience in vehicle diagnosis, servicing, and general repairs.
  • F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily repair work. Strong mechanical fault-finding ability, attention to detail, reliability, and a professional, quality-focused mindset.
