About the Role & Team
We're a close-knit team who actually enjoy coming to work. Everyone gets on, helps each other out, and takes pride in what we do. Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Full vehicle servicing, MOT prep, and major mechanical & electrical repairs
- Confidently tackling engine rebuilds, timing chains, clutches, gearboxes, and complex diagnostics
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic faults independently
- Researching unfamiliar vehicles/jobs using Autodata, manufacturer data, and diagnostics to get it right first time
- Full ownership of workshop stock management
- Each morning, review vehicles in stock
- Create clear job lists
- Prioritise sold cars
- Crack on without constant chasing
- Attending short morning catch-ups and organising your own workload for the day
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and organised
- Supporting the team with technical advice when needed
- Helping with general tasks to keep the business running smoothly
Essential Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Proven ability with major mechanical repairs and complex diagnostics
- Confident, calm problem-solver — happy to tackle unfamiliar jobs
- Strong self-organisation and initiative (no hand-holding needed)
- Positive, professional attitude with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently within a small, close-knit team
Highly Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with Land Rovers / 4x4s (we see plenty, but broad ability matters more)
- Previous main dealer background — you'll love the contrast here
