Your Day-to-Day
As our Aftersales Service Manager, you will:
- Workshop Leadership: Direct, mentor, and motivate a double-figure team of Car Mechanics, Diagnostic Technicians, and Service Advisors to ensure maximum workshop efficiency.
- Customer Satisfaction (CSI): Champion exceptional customer service standards, managing customer retention and ensuring all warranty claims and repairs meet strict manufacturer compliance.
- Operational Profitability: Track and optimize daily labour rates, unit productivity, hours sold, and departmental KPIs to exceed financial targets.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain rigorous quality control inspections, health and safety protocols, and adherence to DVSA MOT standards and automotive legislation.
- Team Development: Deliver ongoing staff coaching, performance reviews, and continuous professional development to build a top-tier aftersales team.
What You Bring to the Table
- Industry Experience: Proven background as a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, or a senior Workshop Controller / Master Tech ready for a natural step up into full dealership management.
- Technical Expertise: Solid grounding in vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repair standards, warranty procedures, and dealer management systems (DMS). City & Guilds Part 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience) is required.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding people management, strategic planning, decision-making, and communication skills.
- IT Skills: Proficient with automotive estimating software, spreadsheets, and computerized workshop management systems.
- Licensing: Full, clean UK driving licence.
