We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Service Technician to join our highly respected independent team in Cardiff. Your Role

As a vital member of our Cardiff technical team, you will:

  • Carry out mechanical repairs, routine vehicle servicing, braking system maintenance, timing belts, and complex mechanical tasks.
  • Use up‑to‑date diagnostic tools to efficiently fault‑find and resolve technical and electrical issues.
  • Ensure high‑quality "first‑time fix" results while adhering strictly to workshop safety guidelines.
  • Work productively to complete vehicle repairs accurately and keep the workshop operating smoothly.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of mechanics to uphold our high standards of customer satisfaction.

What You Need

Qualifications & Experience: Proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Specialist in a professional workshop setting. Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/IMI preferred, though time‑served technical experience is also considered. F‑Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).

Technical Skill: Excellent engine knowledge, alongside strong working knowledge of general vehicle servicing, mechanical components, and diagnostics.

Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.

Key Strengths: A reliable, self‑motivated professional with good attention to detail, strong mechanical understanding, and a team‑player mindset.
