About the Company

We are a premier, highly rated independent auto service and MOT centre with a strong 20-year history of serving drivers across North Cardiff, Pontypridd, and Caerphilly. Free from rigid corporate politics and unrealistic time-frictional targets, we work across a diverse range of vehicles, including traditional combustion engines as well as modern electric and hybrid platforms. Our local reputation is built entirely on trust, price transparency, and precision, creating a highly communicative and friendly environment where staff are truly valued.

Your Role

As a core Vehicle Technician in our Taffs Well team, you will:

  • Servicing & Maintenance: Carry out routine vehicle servicing, multi-point health checks, and scheduled vehicle maintenance across all makes and models.
  • Mechanical Repairs: Tackle a wide variety of day-to-day mechanical work, tracking down defects, and replacing parts efficiently.
  • Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Fleet Care: Assist with the upkeep and rapid turnaround of commercial business and contract lease fleet vehicles.
  • Quality Assurance: Take personal accountability for your workmanship to ensure "right first time" fixes and maintain our 5-star customer ratings.

Featured Role Benefit

Early 4:30 PM Finishes, Free Weekends, and Hybrid/EV Exposure. By trading in the stressful corporate dealership grind for our established independent garage, you get to regain control of your personal time. Our 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM schedule guarantees you beat the evening rush-hour traffic, while our strict weekend closures mean your personal time stays entirely yours. Additionally, because we actively cater to modern electric and hybrid platforms alongside fleet vehicles, you will constantly keep your skills fresh and adapted to future automotive technologies in a relaxed, friendly setting.

What You Need

  • Qualifications: An industry-recognised NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance is preferred, though highly experienced Level 2 technicians are welcome to apply.
  • Experience: Proven, hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic within either an independent garage or dealership setting.
  • Key Strengths: Strong technical knowledge, a proactive problem-solving attitude, reliable communication skills, and a positive team player mindset.
