About the Role

As a Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance work efficiently and accurately
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Interpreting technical information and manufacturer repair procedures
  • Carrying out complex fault finding and providing effective repair solutions
  • Completing accurate job cards, repair reports, and identifying parts required
  • Performing tyre fitting and 4-wheel alignment
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard
  • Working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology
  • Minimum 2 years’ workshop experience
  • Strong diagnostic ability and experience using diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with modern vehicle systems
  • A full clean UK driving licence
  • A professional attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

The following would be an advantage:

  • Current MOT Tester qualification
  • Experience working with VAG Group
  • Advanced diagnostic and electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience with 4-wheel alignment systems
