About the Role
As a Senior Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance work efficiently and accurately
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Interpreting technical information and manufacturer repair procedures
- Carrying out complex fault finding and providing effective repair solutions
- Completing accurate job cards, repair reports, and identifying parts required
- Performing tyre fitting and 4-wheel alignment
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and to a high standard
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology
- Minimum 2 years’ workshop experience
- Strong diagnostic ability and experience using diagnostic equipment
- Excellent mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with modern vehicle systems
- A full clean UK driving licence
- A professional attitude with a commitment to quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience
The following would be an advantage:
- Current MOT Tester qualification
- Experience working with VAG Group
- Advanced diagnostic and electrical fault-finding experience
- Experience with 4-wheel alignment systems
