Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our busy Camberley service centre, you will:
- Perform all aspects of light vehicle servicing, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs across a diverse range of vehicle makes and models.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults, utilizing up-to-date diagnostic scanners and workshop tooling.
- Support the MOT testing team by carrying out necessary repair work on failed vehicles to high trade standards.
- Complete digital job sheets accurately, manage your dedicated ramp space, and collaborate closely with our team of 5 technicians.
- Conduct statutory Class 4 MOT inspections efficiently and accurately to DVSA standards (if qualified).
What You Need
- Qualifications: Industry-recognized automotive qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent time-served experience). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Experience: Proven track record conducting vehicle servicing, fault diagnostics, and mechanical repairs within a busy workshop or garage setting.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required. An active, valid DVSA MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential.
- Key Strengths: Strong organizational skills, high attention to safety detail, own hand tools, and a reliable, positive work ethic.
