The Role

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout the servicing and vehicle repair process.

You'll work closely with customers, technicians and the workshop team to ensure vehicles are booked in efficiently, work is authorised and completed smoothly, and customers are kept informed every step of the way.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Booking vehicles into the workshop
• Taking customer bookings and handling enquiries
• Discussing servicing, maintenance and repair requirements
• Liaising with technicians and workshop staff
• Providing customers with clear updates on vehicle progress
• Preparing and explaining estimates and quotations
• Gaining authorisation for additional work
• Preparing and explaining invoices
• Managing customer expectations and keeping customers informed
• Ensuring customers receive excellent service from booking through to collection
• Building strong, long-term customer relationships
• Helping maintain an efficient and well-organised workshop

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with previous experience in an automotive customer-facing role, ideally as a Service Advisor, Automotive Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor or similar.

You'll need:

• Previous experience within the motor trade
• Experience working with vehicle servicing and repairs
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A professional, friendly and confident manner
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to manage multiple jobs and customers in a busy workshop
• Good attention to detail
• The confidence to discuss vehicle repairs and maintenance with customers
• A positive attitude and strong team ethic
• The ability to work effectively with technicians and workshop staff
• A full UK driving licence is preferred
