You'll work as part of a friendly, experienced team, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of Volkswagen Group vehicles, as well as selected BMW models, using professional diagnostic equipment and technical information.

This is a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career in a modern, well-equipped workshop where your technical ability is recognised and appreciated.

The Role

As a Diagnostic Technician, you'll be responsible for accurately diagnosing faults and carrying out high-quality repairs across a variety of vehicles. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
  • Electrical and mechanical diagnosis
  • Engine management and drivability diagnostics
  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Using OEM diagnostic equipment and technical information
  • Supporting other technicians with difficult or complex faults
  • Carrying out quality control checks
  • Diagnosing faults accurately to achieve first-time fixes
  • Repairing vehicles to a high professional standard

We believe technicians should be given the time, equipment and information needed to diagnose vehicles properly, rather than being rushed from job to job.

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys diagnostics and problem solving. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician or Senior Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Good electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working with Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda or BMW
  • Experience using professional/OEM-level diagnostic equipment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a team

A Better Workshop Environment

We know that experienced technicians have plenty of choices when it comes to their next job. That's why we've built a workshop where technicians can focus on what they're good at: diagnosing problems, fixing vehicles properly and producing work they're proud of. There are no unnecessary sales targets and no pressure to cut corners just to improve efficiency figures. You'll have access to the right equipment, technical support and experienced colleagues, while being trusted to use your own judgement and expertise. If you're looking for a professional workshop, Monday-to-Friday hours and a team that genuinely values skilled technicians, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
