We're looking for a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our growing independent Volkswagen Group (VAG) specialist workshop. If you're ready to leave the pressure of the dealership environment behind and join a professional, supportive team where quality always comes first, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll work on a wide range of Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Škoda vehicles using dealer-level diagnostic equipment, with the time, support and resources needed to diagnose and repair vehicles properly. This is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a business that genuinely values its technicians.

Why Join Us?

  • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday working – enjoy every weekend off
  • No dealership pressure
  • Modern workshop with OEM-level diagnostic equipment
  • Friendly, experienced and supportive team
  • Career development and ongoing training
  • Company pension
  • 28 days' holiday including Bank Holidays
  • Free on-site parking
  • Use of the workshop for friends' and family vehicles

The Role

As our Diagnostic Technician, you'll play a key role within the workshop, diagnosing complex faults and carrying out repairs to the highest standard. Your work will include:

  • Advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding

  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Using OEM diagnostic equipment and technical information
  • Supporting other technicians with technical issues
  • Carrying out quality control checks
  • Delivering first-time fixes through accurate diagnosis

We believe in doing the job properly the first time, giving our technicians the time they need to produce quality work—not rushing from job to job.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys solving technical problems. Ideally you’ll have:

  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A positive attitude and strong team ethic

Why Technicians Stay With Us

Instead, you'll join a close-knit team that values honesty, technical ability and quality workmanship. You’ll be trusted to do what you do best, supported by experienced colleagues and equipped with the right tools to succeed. If you're passionate about diagnostics and want to work somewhere your experience is recognised and appreciated, you'll fit right in.
