Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our busy Bracknell workshop, you will:
- Perform all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, covering routine vehicle servicing, safety health checks, and brake overhauls.
- Conduct complex mechanical repairs, including cambelts, clutches, steering systems, and timing belts or chains.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to efficiently troubleshoot issues, isolate electrical and mechanical faults, and replace worn components systematically.
- Maintain digital job sheets accurately, ensuring all vehicles meet strict safety and manufacturer standards while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
What You Need
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent time-served experience). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience working in a professional garage or workshop setting.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential.
- Key Strengths: Strong organizational skills, great attention to detail, own hand tools, and the ability to work independently and efficiently on varied repairs.
