  • Salary Range: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + workshop efficiency bonus scheme
  • Working Schedule: Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays operated on a fair team rota basis

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute deep-level diagnostic fault isolation across multi-brand vehicle electronics, CAN-bus, and emissions systems
  • Perform major mechanical repairs, including timing chain/belt overhauls, gearbox replacements, clutch builds, and head gaskets
  • Conduct routine manufacturer-level servicing, health checks (VHC), and pre-MOT safety evaluations
  • Record accurate technical findings on digital job cards and brief service advisors on required repair paths
  • Maintain clean work bays, tool care, and standard workshop health and safety protocols

Candidate Profile

  • Technical Ability: Experienced mechanic with strong diagnostic problem-solving capabilities and heavy mechanical repair skills
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background)
  • MOT Status: Holding an active MOT Tester licence commands higher starting pay, but is not essential to apply
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
