The Role

As an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
  • Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults and safety-related issues
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and health checks
  • Identifying repair requirements and reporting findings accurately
  • Maintaining accurate MOT and vehicle records
  • Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards

Customer Service & Service Advisor Duties

  • Welcoming customers and handling enquiries
  • Booking MOTs, servicing and repair work
  • Managing workshop schedules and job bookings
  • Providing vehicle updates and repair recommendations
  • Preparing invoices and job documentation
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service department

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class 4 MOT Tester Licence
  • Previous experience as an MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Mechanic
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Comfortable using workshop and garage management software
  • Organised, reliable and professional approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
