The Role
As an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and safety-related issues
- Conducting vehicle inspections and health checks
- Identifying repair requirements and reporting findings accurately
- Maintaining accurate MOT and vehicle records
- Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
Customer Service & Service Advisor Duties
- Welcoming customers and handling enquiries
- Booking MOTs, servicing and repair work
- Managing workshop schedules and job bookings
- Providing vehicle updates and repair recommendations
- Preparing invoices and job documentation
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service department
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 4 MOT Tester Licence
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Mechanic
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Comfortable using workshop and garage management software
- Organised, reliable and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
