About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our busy workshop. This role is perfect for someone highly skilled, confident, and NVQ Level 3 qualified (additional specialist training desirable) who can diagnose and repair a wide variety of faults across modern Petrol, Diesel, and Hybrid vehicles. You will work on complex mechanical tasks, high-level diagnostics, and customer-facing communication in a supportive and professional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently on complex mechanical jobs, including:
- Cylinder head repairs/rebuilds and valvetrain replacements
- Timing chain/belt replacement (including in-oil types)
- Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and AdBlue systems
- Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs)
- High Pressure Direct Injection (GDI)
- NoX Particulate traps and monitoring
About You
- NVQ Level 3 qualified (minimum); additional specialist accreditations desirable
- 5+ years' experience in a busy workshop environment
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills across cars and light commercial vehicles
- Confident with modern vehicle systems (Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid) and emissions technology
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of working unsupervised
- Possess a comprehensive personal tool kit
