Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our active Swindon workshop, you will:
- Carry out comprehensive safety inspections, routine vehicle servicing, and mechanical repairs across a diverse range of vehicles.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and multi-brand software to systematically troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults.
- Complete thorough maintenance & repair work, ensuring every vehicle meets top-tier quality and safety standards.
- Work productively alongside service teams and fellow mechanics to maintain a smooth, efficient workshop flow.
What You Need
- Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. A proven track record in a professional workshop environment. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
- Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair, diagnostic, and servicing tasks effectively. Reliable, self-motivated team player who is comfortable using digital systems and adapts quickly to different car brands.
