Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Didcot workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing, safety health checks, and general mechanical maintenance across a wide variety of makes and models.
  • Use up-to-date diagnostic tools and computer scanners to efficiently troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Complete thorough maintenance, diagnostic, and preparation work, ensuring consistently high "first-time fix" quality standards.
  • Work productively alongside a skilled team of motor mechanics to maintain a smooth and efficient workshop flow.

What You Need

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent time-served experience). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Experience: A proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Technician in a professional workshop environment.
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair tasks effectively.
  • Key Strengths: A reliable, self-motivated team player with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
