The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll work on a wide variety of prestige, performance and classic vehicles. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and fault diagnosis
- Engine diagnostics and fault finding
- Electrical diagnostics
- Suspension, steering and braking repairs
- Engine and drivetrain repairs
- Clutch and gearbox work
- Timing belt and timing chain replacement
- Using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Carring out repairs to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate job records
- Following manufacturer and company repair standards
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised
The role offers plenty of variety, with the opportunity to work on vehicles and technical problems that you simply wouldn't encounter in a typical workshop.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced technician who takes genuine pride in their work and wants to continue developing their skills.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to diagnose faults methodically and accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Prestige, luxury or performance vehicles
- Supercars or high-performance vehicles
- Classic cars
- Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati or Alfa Romeo
- Manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- MOT Tester qualification
