Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our active Swindon facility, you will:
- Carry out comprehensive safety inspections, retail preparation work, routine vehicle servicing, and mechanical repairs across a diverse fleet.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and multi-brand software to systematically troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults.
- Complete thorough maintenance and prep work, ensuring every vehicle meets top-tier retail and safety standards.
- Work productively alongside vehicle coordinators, sales teams, and fellow mechanics to maintain a smooth, efficient workshop flow.
What You Need
Qualifications & Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- A proven track record in a professional workshop environment.
- F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
Licensing:
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
Equipment:
- Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair, diagnostic, and servicing tasks effectively.
