Your Role
As a dedicated Vehicle Service Technician / Auto Mechanic within our busy Haslemere workshop, you will:
- Carry out a highly varied mix of mechanical repairs, routine car servicing, and scheduled preventative maintenance across a diverse range of vehicle makes and models.
- Tackle all aspects of workshop operations, ranging efficiently from light servicing to heavy mechanical repairs (clutches, cambelts, steering, and suspension).
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and workshop technology to systematically troubleshoot, isolate, and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Complete accurate digital job cards and collaborate closely with the workshop team to maintain a smooth daily workflow.
What You Need
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2, Level 3, City & Guilds, or proven time-served experience as a confident Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Experience: Well-rounded background in vehicle servicing, fault-finding diagnostics, and heavy mechanical repair work.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is required. An active MOT licence is a great advantage, but not essential as full MOT training is provided.
- Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair and servicing tasks effectively.
