What You’ll Be Doing as a Junior Mechanic / Technician
- Hands-on Learning & Development: Working directly alongside experienced senior commercial mechanics who will train, mentor, and guide you on advanced repairs.
- Commercial Vehicle Servicing & Maintenance: Performing routine servicing, fleet maintenance, and mechanical repairs, with a strong focus on commercial platforms and LCVs (as well as cars).
- Diagnostic Fault Finding: Assisting with diagnostics on complex mechanical and electrical issues using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
- MOT Prep & Inspection: Learning and assisting with vehicle prep to VOSA MOT testing standards.
- Quality Control: Delivering right-first-time repairs and maintaining accurate technical service records.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Around 2 years of professional motor trade / garage workshop experience (independent, fast-fit, or main dealer).
- Qualifications: IMI Level 2 (or NVQ Level 2 equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Mindset: A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a real hunger to learn, progress, and develop into a skilled commercial technician.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
