HAWK Fire is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Commissioning Engineer to join our growing projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and technically competent engineer to work on high-profile commercial and infrastructure projects across London and the South East, carrying out commissioning activities during night shifts (Sunday to Thursday).

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems
  • Testing and verification of installations to relevant standards
  • Fault finding and rectification during commissioning stages
  • Client demonstrations and handover support
  • Production of commissioning documentation and reports
  • Ensuring compliance with BS 5839-1 and project specifications

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the fire alarm industry
  • Strong commissioning and fault-finding background
  • Excellent working knowledge of Morley and MXPro 5 (Advanced Electronics Ltd) fire alarm systems
  • Good understanding of BS 5839-1 and fire alarm cause-and-effect programming
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients, contractors and project teams

Working Pattern

  • Night shifts – Sunday to Thursday
  • Projects located throughout London and the South East
