The predicted salary is between 22792 - 29688 £ per year.
Location: The majority of work will take place on-site at Clydesdale House in Glasgow, with additional opportunities to work on-site at UEFA and FIFA tournaments.
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £26,990 (+ up to 10% bonus). You will also have the opportunity to increase your salary as your experience and skills grow within the role.
Travel: Travel across the UK and Europe. There will be occasional work at our head office in Basingstoke.

As a VAR Replay Operator, you will be at the heart of the action in the Scottish Premiership Replay Centre at Clydesdale House. Your role will be crucial in delivering world-class services to the Scottish Premiership, and as you gain experience, you will have the chance to be involved in prestigious tournaments across Europe and beyond, such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and FIFA World Cups.
During a match day, the VAR Replay Operator will be sitting with a qualified referee for each match and will be responsible for providing them with the best possible service to aid them in their decision-making process. This will require the technical ability to find and present the best possible camera angles and clear communication to ensure the process is smooth and efficient.
What Does A Typical Day Look Like?
- Pre-Match Preparation: Plan and manage pre-match activities in the days leading up to games.
- Technology Setup: Set up our cutting-edge Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology at the Replay Centre.
- System Checks: Conduct thorough pre-match system checks to ensure everything runs efficiently.
- Match-Day Operations: Work directly with match officials, providing crucial replays and optimal camera angles in real-time.
- Performance Monitoring: Keep a close eye on hardware and software, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Post-Match Reporting: Complete detailed reports to enhance future operations and client satisfaction.
- Off-Season Maintenance: Build and maintain our hardware and equipment, and assist with the installation and testing of new products and services.

What Challenges Might I Face?
- Working Hours: Due to the nature of the sports industry, there is often work on weekends and midweek evenings, and we are expected to fulfil our roles until the last kick.
- Travelling Abroad: As the role progresses, there will be travel to various countries, mainly in Europe, for UEFA-based competitions. There could be further travel to other tournaments throughout the year.
- High-Pressure Situations: Working in a live broadcast environment on a production that is distributed globally and widely seen by many will bring levels of pressure.
