This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across Sony’s Sport ecosystem, including Hawk-Eye Innovations, Pulselive, Beyond Sports and KinaTrax, contributing to the evolution of cutting-edge technology in sports.
Strategy Associate
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Hybrid (spend at least three days per week in our London or Basingstoke offices)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 DoE
Start Date: ASAP
Reporting directly to our Strategy Director , this key role will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious and transformative vision within sport. You\’ll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Sony businesses to develop and implement strategic initiatives, helping to steer the long-term trajectory of Sony\’s Sport Businesses .
The role combines strategy development and execution with strategic projects and corporate development activities . As a result, you\’ll gain exposure to full M&A processes and strategic partnership developments . Beyond this, you\’ll work with stakeholders across the wider Sony group to elevate the sports business and fully utilize the unique opportunities available as part of the world\’s largest entertainment company.
What You\’ll Do
- Strategy Development & Execution
- Help shape and execute the long-term strategy for the Sony Sports Group.
- Provide analytical and strategic support to individual business units across the group.
- Support the creation of mid- and long-range plans, ensuring alignment with our broader goals.
- Partner with senior leaders to turn strategy into action, building business cases and tracking delivery.
- End to end exposure to full deal process from origination through execution and integration
- Manage our M&A and Partnerships pipeline – qualifying inbound leads and maintaining an active database.
- leading role in commercial diligence and exposure to full diligence process and beyond
- Work closely with the CCO and business unit MDs to assess and prioritise commercial opportunities.
- Create robust business cases and market models to guide strategic decision-making.
- Track market trends, competitor movements, and new technology to inform our commercial direction.
- Produce high-impact presentations and insight packs for the CEO, Exec Team and key stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional collaboration across Sony to unlock ecosystem-wide value.
- Share best practices and raise the bar for strategic thinking and execution across the group.
Who You Are:
- You bring 2–3 years’ experience in a top-tier strategy consultancy or equivalent in-house strategy team.
- You have strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- You’re a natural communicator who can distil complex ideas into clear and compelling narratives.
- You’re highly proactive and organised, comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working across multiple teams and functions.
