Location: Based in England (major cities near airports). For international travel requirements, it would be ideal to live near an easy transport link to European Cities. We are primarily targeting applicants from the London, Birmingham and Manchester areas.
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: A starting salary of £26,990 (+ up to 10% bonus). You will also have the opportunity to increase your salary as your experience and skills grow within the role.
Travel: Regular travel across the UK & Europe. There will be occasional work at our head office in Basingstoke.

Why Hawk-Eye & Why Football?
As a Football Systems Operator, you will be working on-site at football stadiums in your region, playing a key part in the delivery of our services to Premier League and Championship matches. As you gain experience in the role, you will be expected to be involved in more tournaments throughout the UK, Europe and further afield, such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and FIFA Competitions.
The role will encompass the installation and operation of our technology at matches, where you will be responsible for our systems. You will need to be prepared to work long days at weekends and midweek evenings, as we work whenever Football happens.
Whilst we provide several services in top-flight football, you will initially focus on our Audio Technology service. You will gain exposure to various other services as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team.
We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks, but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.
What Does A Typical Day Look Like?
- Pre-match planning and driving the van to the stadium before match day
Setting up Hawk-Eye technology in the stadium (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging gantry boxes and running cables)
- Conducting pre-match set-up, checks and calibration of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
- Liaising with stadium staff, match officials and host broadcasters on-site
- Monitoring the systems during the match from a pitchside point of view
- Monitoring hardware and software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues
- Taking full ownership of our system on-site and being an ambassador for Hawk-Eye
- Being the point of contact for Officials in administering and maintaining Hawk-Eye wearable equipment.
- During the off-season, building and maintaining our hardware and equipment
- Assisting with the installation and testing of new products and services

Working Hours: Due to the nature of the sports industry, there is often work on weekends and midweek evenings, and we are expected to fulfil our roles right to the end.

High-Pressure Situations: Working in a live broadcast environment on a production that is distributed to millions worldwide will bring high levels of pressure.
