Join Our Team as a Product Owner at Hawk-Eye Innovations. Are you interested in working with the latest technologies in a fast-paced environment, with exciting career opportunities in a growing business? At Hawk-Eye, we build technology that powers some of the most exciting and critical moments in sport, from instant replays and broadcast augmentation to officiating systems trusted by leagues, federations, broadcasters, and millions of fans worldwide.

Our Value Stream delivers the core data platforms, aggregations, and advanced insights that turn live athletic metrics into unprecedented sports intelligence. Working alongside our sister companies Pulselive and Beyond Sports, we ingest massive spatial data feeds, including ball trajectories and SkeleTRACK real-time skeletal metrics, and transform them into scalable data pipelines, predictive data science models, and immersive fan-facing visualisations.

We are looking for an experienced, highly autonomous Product Owner to take full ownership of a major data product, platform, or analytics technology across its complete lifecycle. You will step beyond day-to-day backlog management to actively shape short-to-medium-range roadmaps, define strategic OKRs, and manage complex stakeholder relationships with some of the biggest names in elite global sports.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Strategic Backlog & Scope Ownership: Serve as the definitive voice of the data consumer, analyst, and business. Fully own the platform backlog—defining epics, features, and user stories—and proactively handle complex data pipeline dependencies and time‑critical streaming priorities to maximise ROI.
  • Roadmap, Vision & Data Strategy: Actively contribute to and shape the strategic roadmap and vision for our data and insights portfolio. Research the market, track sports tech competitors, and perform deep user analysis to proactively propose improvements to data processing reliability, database scalability, and API delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management & Ambiguity: Champion your data product as its primary global ambassador. Lead high‑level technical discussions on cloud infrastructure and business analytics, align cross‑functional data engineering teams, and successfully navigate complex, ambiguous environments to keep platform deliveries on track.
  • Quality & Built‑In Engineering Excellence: Collaborate with Data Engineering Leads, Solution Architects, and QA to enforce robust architectural patterns. Ensure data integrity, validation, and built‑in quality at every stage of the pipeline to completely eliminate the cost of delays (CoDs) associated with historical data corruptions or faulty real‑time feeds.
  • Operational Readiness & 3rd Line Support: Define system performance metrics and monitor operational data latency to guide infrastructure decisions. Oversee 3rd‑line support within your platform scope and guarantee that data documentation, SDK testing, and ingestion pipelines are executed flawlessly ahead of rollout into BAU.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2–3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, demonstrating growing autonomy in managing all stages of the software or data product lifecycle and leading short‑range roadmap definition.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to align diverse cross‑functional engineering teams, data scientists, product leads, and high‑profile external clients.
  • Strong technical grounding with concrete experience managing technically complex products, cloud‑based data solutions (e.g., AWS/GCP architecture), big data streaming, or REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Strategic product execution experience, particularly in defining Minimum Marketable Features (MMFs), Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and setting clear data‑driven OKRs.
  • Superb leadership and communication skills with a knack for removing product‑related obstacles, conducting data architecture trade‑off analyses, and keeping development priorities visible.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working on data‑heavy, high‑performance products within a business‑to‑business (B2B) setting or enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Experience with real‑time streaming architectures, data warehousing solutions, or data science/analytics workflows.
  • Enthusiasm for occasional international travel to collaborate directly with sports federations, data partners, and media teams.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 public holidays
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme: 5% matching
  • Flexible Working: Hybrid model (2 days in the office per week)
  • Wellness: Complimentary Unmind app, onsite gym (Basingstoke)
  • Exclusive Perks: Access to sporting events and tickets, Sony Group Company discounts

Equal Opportunity Employer: We’re committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. Everyone is treated fairly, regardless of gender, race, religion, age, disability, or background. We want you to be your best and truest self here.
