We are seeking a skilled Cable Jointer with expertise in LV and 11kV systems, (33kV preferred but not essential). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical cables, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role is ONLY for experienced cable jointers - further training can be provided but you will be stepping onto site needing the skills required to carry out works immediately.
Duties- Install, maintain, and repair LV and HV cables in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Working on EV charging sites, installing new package substations.
- Working on bespoke Data Centres, on LV, 11kV (33kV experience would be nice but not essential as training can be provided).
- Working for various ICPs and private networks.
- Working on BESS Projects, Solar Farms, New Build Estates etc.
- You will be paired with a fully trained and experienced Jointers mate, to assist day to day tasks.
- Utilise hand tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols while on-site.
- Proven experience as a Cable Jointer, ideally within the sectors mentioned above.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems & confidence to undertake all tasks.
- Experience in T Boot Terminations, XLPE, Raychem, Nexans, Repl etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.
