Our client is seeking an experienced Audio Visual engineer to join their onsite team. The engineer is responsible for delivering maintenance and technical support for the client’s on-site AV systems. This role requires a high level of visibility within the organisation, including regular interaction with senior stakeholders such as executive leaders and managing directors. You will:
- Perform all key duties in a safe and compliant manner, following company policies, ISO requirements, and relevant industry standards.
- Carry out routine checks of meeting rooms, ensuring all AV systems and equipment operate correctly and in line with established procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support to staff as issues arise.
- Oversee the upkeep, servicing, and monitoring of all audio-visual equipment.
- Take a proactive approach to maintenance and reporting, ensuring AV systems consistently operate at optimal performance.
- Coordinate scheduled power shutdowns and restarts when required.
- Manage communication and coordination with the client’s service desk teams.
- Diagnose and resolve AV and video conferencing faults promptly, often in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
- Develop strong, positive working relationships with end users and stakeholders.
- Recognise potential additional service or sales opportunities and ensure they are passed on to the relevant internal teams.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the service team and other internal departments regarding all client needs.
- Carry out any other tasks aligned with the responsibilities of the position.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be articulate, driven, positive with a can do will do attitude.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have experience in installing and supporting Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions.
- Have at least 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Have trustworthiness and honesty.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Have a flexible approach to working hours.
- Have AMX/Crestron hardware/Software knowledge to a level where code can be uploaded/faults identified.
- Have knowledge of basic configurations of Cisco codecs.
- Have basic IT Network Knowledge.
- Have experience maintaining and troubleshooting Polycom Codec and Sound structure equipment.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30hrs to 17:30hrs.
