Key Account Operator

Key Account Operator Staines£35K – £40K per annum

Our client is seeking a Key Account Operator to join their team in Staines. You will be responsible for overseeing the shipments on behalf of the clients in a compliant, efficient, and effective manner ensuring appropriate communications throughout. You will:

• Obtain rates & quote for all modes of transport both UK and international
• Manage export, import and cross-trade shipments in a consistent and efficient manner
• Liaise with suppliers, airlines and shipping lines
• Book air, ocean, road & courier shipments with carriers
• Complete export & import customs entries
• Liaise with overseas agents and clients
• Track shipments and maintain customer contact, providing solutions for any delays
• Raise and distribute invoices
• Facilitate communications with the client updating them with progress of day-to-day operations and ongoing projects
• Ensure internal SOPs are followed correctly and KPI’s are met
• Resolve queries efficiently and professionally
• Produce required export / import documentation
• Build rapport with customers and internal departments
• Ensure CargoWise data is accurate and up to date
• Support with monthly storage billing for global warehouse locations
• Maintain warehouse inventory reports

The ideal candidate will:

• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Be able to work independently and collaboratively
• Have strong communication skills
• Remain calm and professional under pressure
• Be empathic and customer focused
• Be able to converse with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional and clear manner
• Ideally have Logistics industry experience or demonstratable transferable skills
• Ideally have working knowledge with CargoWise

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
