Location: York

Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Flexible start/finish times of 7am – 9am and 3pm - 5pm finish. Hybrid working is considered after probation for up to 2 days per week.

Salary: £80,000 per annum + 10% bonus

Are you an experienced RF/Microwave Engineering Leader? We have an opportunity to take ownership of the technical direction for a highly specialized engineering function operating on a global stage. As Head of Technical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the organisation's RF and Microwave engineering strategy.

As part of the site leadership team, you will:

  • Define architecture, champion engineering governance and lead a talented multi-discipline engineering group.
  • Lead and develop the technical engineering team, providing hands-on guidance to RF/MW design engineers and nurture a strong design culture.
  • Set technical vision, architecture and long-term technology roadmap.
  • Manage engineering risks, budgets, schedules and technical reviews.
  • Maintain high-quality engineering processes, providing technical assurance and resolving design challenges.

Requirements:

  • Degree (or equivalent) with deep expertise in RF & Microwave Engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering management, system engineering and technical governance.
  • Strategic mindset with experience delivering engineering improvement initiatives.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
