Location: Worcester, Worcestershire

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 36.75 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am - 12:45pm

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and improvement of advanced engineering systems. You will be responsible for delivering practical, cost‑effective design solutions while supporting projects across design, manufacture, and customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
  • Produce and maintain engineering drawings and documentation
  • Create and manage BOMs within internal systems
  • Improve existing products for performance and manufacturability
  • Investigate and resolve product faults
  • Develop customer‑specific engineering solutions
  • Support sales with technical input and proposals
  • Assist with build, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and service teams

Key Requirements

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience
  • Strong SolidWorks CAD skills
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, and PLM systems
  • Knowledge of ANSYS, MATLAB, Excel or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Good problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills
