Self‑contained overview: Experienced Laser Cutter Supervisor to lead and improve day‑shift laser‑cutting activities at Notting‑ham.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day‑to‑day laser‑cutting operations.
- Lead, motivate and support laser operators and production staff.
- Ensure target achievements safely, efficiently and on‑time.
- Allocate work and manage workload.
- Set up and operate laser‑cutting machinery.
- Conduct first‑off inspections ensuring spec compliance.
- Monitor quality, resolve issues promptly.
- Minimise downtime through proactive problem‑solving.
- Collaborate with Programming, Planning, Quality and Operations.
- Train, coach and develop team members.
- Deliver return‑to‑work meetings, probation reviews, general people management.
- Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Promote health & safety culture.
- Report machine issues and liaise with maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support recruitment and onboarding.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous supervision of a laser‑cutting or manufacturing team.
- Operational background on industrial laser‑cutting machinery.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent sheet‑metal fabrication knowledge.

- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
