The Role
As a European Operations Co-ordinator, you'll be at the heart of the day-to-day operation, managing European road freight shipments from start to finish. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position where attention to detail, commercial awareness, and proactive communication are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing daily European freight bookings (import & export)
- Handling customs clearance processes where required
- Creating and managing job files and key documentation
- Processing shipments through the Multifreight system
- Liaising with clients - quotations, bookings, updates, and issue resolution
- Negotiating rates and managing supplier relationships
- Working closely with the internal sales team on pricing and service solutions
- Monitoring shipments to completion, ensuring service excellence throughout
- Maximising profitability through cost control and supplier negotiation
- Invoicing and maintaining accurate operational records
- Contributing to team meetings, performance reviews, and business planning
