Quality Manager
Location: Dorset
Hours of work: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday
Salary: c£55,000
We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead and manage all aspects of quality within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a senior, hands‑on role with responsibility for product quality, production processes, and the ongoing development of quality standards.
You will lead the quality team, work closely with production and senior management, and ensure compliance with all relevant quality management systems including ISO / IATF / AS / NADCAP. A key part of the role will be managing customer quality issues, driving corrective actions, and proactively reducing internal and external defects.
Key responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for quality performance and reporting
- Managing audits and maintaining quality management systems
- Leading customer complaints, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
- Supporting new products and contracts through PPAP, FMEA, and control plans
- Developing, coaching, and appraising the quality team
- Driving continuous improvement and supporting health & safety initiatives
About you
You will have strong experience in manufacturing quality management, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset. Experience leading teams and working with customers and auditors is essential.
