About the Role
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are seeking an experienced and proactive Hygiene Supervisor to lead our hygiene function within a fast‐paced food manufacturing environment based between York and Leeds. This key role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance across the site are consistently achieved. As a 24/7 operation, flexibility is essential. While core hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, you will occasionally be required to work outside of these hours to support the night team and oversee critical cleaning activities, such as attending and inspecting specialist cleans that may take place overnight (e.g., 3am on Sundays).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the hygiene team to deliver exceptional standards
- Ensure all hygiene, waste, and pest control systems are compliant and effectively maintained
- Verify daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning records are accurately completed
- Investigate hygiene‐related non‐conformances and implement corrective actions
- Support internal, customer, and third‐party audits with data and inspections
- Deliver training and competency assessments for hygiene teams and wider site teams
- Ensure consistent availability of PPE across the site
- Drive continuous improvements in GMP and hygiene performance metrics
Key Performance Measures
- ≥97% pass rate on allergen and environmental swabs
- Improvement in GMP scores across the site
- Timely closure of pest control and non‐conformance actions
- Completion of hygiene training and competency plans

- Proven experience in a food manufacturing hygiene role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proactive mindset with excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Confident decision maker with problem‐solving capability
- Experience managing audits, hygiene systems, and compliance requirements
- Computer literate with good reporting skills
