Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday. Flexible start/finish times of 7am - 9am and 3pm-5pm finish. Hybrid working is considered after probation for up to 2 days per week.

Are you an experienced RF/Microwave Engineering Leader? We have an opportunity to take ownership of the technical direction for a highly specialized engineering function operating on a global stage. You will play a pivotal role in guiding the organisation's RF and Microwave engineering strategy. As part of the site leadership team, you will define architecture, champion engineering governance and lead a talented multi-discipline engineering group.
Key responsibilities:- Lead and develop the technical engineering team, providing hands-on guidance to RF/MW design engineers and nurture strong design culture.
- Set technical vision, architecture and long-term technology roadmap.
- Oversee modelling, simulation, prototyping and verification across all RF/MW products.
- Drive concept development, feasibility assessments and technical input for customer proposals.
- Manage engineering risks, budgets, schedules and technical reviews.
- Maintain high-quality engineering processes, providing technical assurance and resolving design challenges.
- Support customer-facing technical decisions, design reviews and progress updates.
- Degree (or equivalent) with deep expertise in RF & Microwave Engineering.
- Proven leadership experience in engineering management, system engineering and technical governance.
- Strategic mindset with experience delivering engineering improvement initiatives.
- Extensive hands-on background in RF/MW filter design across multiple topologies.
- Advanced capability in filter synthesis, modelling, simulation and analytical tools.
- Confident contributor to high-level technical design reviews and architecture decisions.
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
