The Role:
- To ensure quality engineering of components using relevant procedures and methods.
- Ensure health and safety in the workplace.
- To provide training where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
- Basic programming (Siemens Controls) and operating CNC Turning machine.
- Turning on large components up to 20 metres in length to tight tolerances (+/-.05mm).
- Use of overhead pendant cranes.
- Deburring components.
- Maintaining machinery, swarf removal, routine oiling and greasing etc.
- Carry out daily bookings.
- Adhere to and encourage health and safety methods and procedures.
- Inspection for all components throughout the process.
- Instruct and help train other Machine Shop personnel.
- Continually keeping the department as clean and tidy as possible.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Must have conventional turning experience, horizontal and/or vertical.
