Location: Sherburn-in-Elmet, Leeds, LS25
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm (plus paid rota duties), 1 in 6 Saturdays (May-Nov), One late night to 8pm on a rota (May-Oct)
Commutable from Selby, Castleford, Wakefield, Leeds, York, Tadcaster, Wetherby, Garforth and Pontefract.
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with a growing company based in SherburnāināElmet who are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fastāpaced environment, enjoys problem solving, and prides themselves on accuracy, organisation and great communication.
The Role
You will take ownership of the full endātoāend weekly payroll process, working with fluctuating employee numbers (70ā160 depending on season). You will collaborate closely with HR and other internal teams to ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the wages mailbox and responding to payroll/HR queries promptly
- Collecting and collating daily hours, crossāchecking against vehicle tracker data
- Processing a full weekly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll & Sage 50 Accounts
- Handling SSP, SMP, SPP, holiday pay, deductions, expenses and pensions
- Setting up new starters and maintaining accurate employee records
- Processing payroll yearāend procedures
- Uploading and processing employee expenses
- Conducting inductions and issuing employment contracts
- Assisting with VISA applications for foreign nationals
- Maintaining accurate live spreadsheets
- Supporting wider HR administration when needed
Skills & Experience
- 1ā2 years' experience in payroll processing
- Excellent numeracy and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure
- Experience with Sage 50 Payroll (advantageous)
- Multilingual skills (advantageous); Russian would be a distinct advantage
