Hawk3 Talent Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing team in Wiltshire.
The Role
As Production Manager, you will be at the heart of operations, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead from the front, support your team, and drive continuous improvement and long-term performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily production across both shifts
- Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Own and improve production efficiency through planning and leadership
- Manage and adapt production plans to meet changing customer demands
- Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and wider production teams
- Drive performance through KPI tracking and clear communication
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Conduct team meetings, inductions, appraisals, and disciplinary processes as needed
- Manage attendance, timekeeping, and payroll accuracy
- Oversee health & safety compliance, safe working practices, and PPE adherence
- Create quality alerts and drive problem-solving initiatives across the floor
- Report weekly machine performance and cascade insights through teams
About You
- Strong, people-focused leader with a passion for operational excellence and team development
- Proven experience managing large teams within a manufacturing environment
- Confidence working with production planning systems (MRP) and MS Office tools
- Knowledge of heavy manufacturing machinery
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Proactive, positive mindset with a strategic outlook
- Excellent communication skills and an approachable leadership style
- Experience in KPI reporting and performance management
