The Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager or an ambitious Warehouse Supervisor ready to take the next step in their career, to join a growing aerospace business during a significant period of investment and transformation.
This is a key leadership position for someone who enjoys driving operational excellence, leading teams through change, and creating a high performance culture.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations while also taking ownership of Health & Safety, facilities management, and operational compliance.
This hands on role offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a business committed to continuous improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for an established manager or a capable supervisor looking to progress into a broader leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 5 direct reports, driving engagement, accountability and high performance.
- Manage all warehouse activities including goods receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch.
- Ensure accurate stock management through the ERP system, maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy.
- Monitor operational performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and service levels.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics partners.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
- QHSE
Take ownership of Health & Safety across the business, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work and emergency procedures.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all departments.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to minimise future risk.
- Support internal and external audits while maintaining accurate compliance records.
- Ensure warehouse operations meet aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support certification, customer audits and compliance activities.
- Oversee quality inspections for incoming and outgoing goods.
- Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Facilities Management
Oversee the maintenance and day to day management of company facilities.
- Manage external contractors including cleaning, waste management, utilities and security providers.
- Coordinate planned maintenance, repairs and site improvement projects.
- Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and fit for operational requirements.
