With £10m+ in live orders and exciting projects on the horizon, we are seeking a Chief Quality Inspector to play a pivotal role in driving standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to bring their technical expertise, leadership, and passion for quality into a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, first-off production, and finished products. Ensure full compliance with AS9100, internal standards, and customer requirements. Prepare clear inspection reports and recommend corrective actions. Support production teams to resolve quality issues and drive improvements. Maintain and calibrate quality equipment (CMM, micrometres, callipers, shadowgraph, etc.). Contribute to audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Skills and Experience Required Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot even the smallest deviations. Technical knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, FAIR & PPAP requirements. Solid problem-solving background using 8D / 5 Whys methodologies. Confident communicator – able to collaborate with production, suppliers, and customers. IT literate with Microsoft Office and ideally MRP/quality systems experience. Previous quality inspection/manufacturing experience within aerospace or precision engineering preferred.
